There are three reasons you should always consult an agent first.

Why is it important to schedule a consultation with your real estate agent before you go out and look at houses? You’re excited, and you really want to get out there and look at houses. The step that many people skip in the process is scheduling a consultation with their real estate agent. I’m here to share three reasons why it’s important not to miss this step:

1. They know the steps. Your real estate agent will go over the steps in the home-buying process with you. If you’ve been through the home buying process in the past, they’ll still educate you as to what the market looks like at the moment, whether it’s a buyer’s market or a seller’s market, and what this means to you when it comes time to make an offer on the house.

“You really want to get out there and look at houses. ”

2. Needs analysis. They’ll do what’s called a needs analysis. That means they’ll go over what you need in the house. What do you want in a house? What features are you looking for, what is your budget for your house, and what areas of town do you want to look in? They’ll help you boil down what your final set of criteria is going to be for your home search.

3. They’ll make a plan. They’ll come up with a strategic plan to help you so that when it comes time to make an offer on the house of your dreams, you can be sure that you are going to get that house.

If you have questions about any of this or if it’s time for you to schedule a home consultation, please shoot me an email or text.  I look forward to hearing from you!
